Debra A. Hitchcock  creates Fine Art Prints that beguile and enchant, evoking a time long ago, and yet to come...full of magic and mystery.

Inspirations for her work range from Arthur Rackham to Howard Pyle, from Gustav Klimt to the Pre-Raphaelites.  From fairytale and myth, to romance and legend.  Please visit her Art Gallery  to see the images below:

"The Greek Gods" Series  ...the mythical Gods, including Zeus, Poseidon and Apollo..watching over us from their celestial place in space and time.

"The Elements" Series ... the eternal elements, Earth-Air-Water-Fire, each with its unique essence.

"The Dryads"  and "The Water Nymphs" ... enchanted Wood Nymphs, called Dryads, embodied in ancient oaks, and the beguiling Water Nymphs bathing in a moonlit glen.

"Aurora"  ... mystical Aurora sharing with us her luminous  awakening,  and another  "Awakening",    happening deep in the forest.

"The Betrothal", "Moonlight", and "Waiting for Dkadjaa" ...betrothals and trysts, and castle gardens by the sea.

"Ancient Forest"  and"Loch Haven" .... ancient forests and secluded lochs.    "The Embrace" ... a mythical mermaid with her lover; and "The Dreamer" ... a maiden at her castle window, gazing past her  labyrinth to the setting sun beyond.

NEW! "The Dreamer"

About  Debra

Dreamer - watermarked

Debra's love of art has been life-long, and further nurtured by her years spent at the Rhode Island School of Design, where she studied figurative drawing and sculpture.

She loves to photograph old gardens, with their mysterious statuary and architectural details...and she uses these images to help create the essential landscape narrative in her drawings.

Whereas before her art prints were only available in black and white, she has now uses color, and all future work will be full color prints using the Giclee process.

NEW! "The Embrace"

About the Art Prints

The prints are created by digitally scanning the original artwork, which is done in either graphite or Prismacolor colored pencils. The images are then printed on archival paper using the Giclee or tinting process.

The Giclee process is used for the full color art prints, and it best captures the colors found in the original artwork.  This process also ensures the archival integrity of the artwork, so that it will be enjoyed for years to come.

The Tinted prints are not Giclee, but are equally archival in nature, using archival ink as well as acid-free paper.

The image size on most of the prints is 6" x 8", although a few are a bit larger. Each art print comes matted in an 11" x 14" acid-free black mat and is ready to be framed.
